Hello! My name is Pamela Holguin-Brown. I am a teacher at Glenwood Elementary, a small school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I am beginning my 24th year teaching and I have seen many things over many years. I have taught grades K-4, and spent a year and a half as a Bilingual/Title 1 Coordinator. I began at this school as a Teacher's Assistant 24 years ago in a 6th grade classroom, and I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my career! I received a B.A. in Spanish from Cal. State University, Northridge, a Multi-Subject Credential from the District Intern Program at LAUSD, and I am now working towards a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University. I am a Teacher Consultant for the Cal State Univ., Northridge Writing Project, and I have now become a co-director in the same program. Teaching is my passion, whether I am teaching my 1st grade students or facilitating a workshop for K-5 teachers. I want to create a website where teachers new and experienced can go to and see what's happening in another classroom and give their input as well. One thing I have learned over the years: teachers can learn from one another because we all have something to share! Click on the red tab to hear more about what's new.
